TestReach E-Assessment Customer Forum 2019

“…a really engaging, enjoyable and informative day.”

TestReach, suppliers of an online assessment solution for running secure computer-based examinations at any location, held the company’s 2019 Customer Forum in Dublin on 7th November. The forum was held in The Morrison Hotel in Dublin’s city centre, and the venue was fully booked with TestReach customers travelling from all over the world to take part in the event.

Online assessment is being transformed by new technologies, and this subject was a significant area of interest covered during the event, with a view to what will happen in the future in the world of examinations and assessment. Technologies like chatbots, voice and face recognition and artificial intelligence were discussed, alongside presentations on the TestReach product and future developments.

TestReach customers also contributed to the presentations on the day, including sessions on from Richard Longley, Head of Professional Standards and Assessment at the Institute of Directors; Andy Mason CBE, Academy Director at The Compliance and Skills Academy; Captain John Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer at The Nautical Institute and Niall Leavy, Head of Strategic Projects at The Public Appointments Service. The audience found these presentations very informative, covering topics such as remote invigilation and the impact on accessibility of accreditation, streamlining marking processes online, delivering exams to worldwide test centres and modernising recruitment screening. These sessions were followed by a very engaging panel discussion.

The event continued into the evening with entertainment provided at Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Teeling Distillery is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years. Located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, it is a fully functional pot still distillery producing up to 500,000 litres of spirit each year. Attendees at the customer forum had a tour of the distillery, tasted the whiskey and enjoyed an evening of Irish food and music. The event gave everyone a great opportunity to network and share stories of how they are using the TestReach solution in different industry scenarios.

Commenting on the event, Sheena Bailey, CEO at TestReach, said, “We were delighted to have so many of our customers together for this Customer Forum in Dublin, and we are grateful to everyone for travelling from all over the world to be here. It was wonderful to see how much everyone enjoyed networking and getting to know each other, and also to hear that everyone found the presentations extrememly useful and informative.”

“We’re looking forward to the next forum and welcome our clients’ suggestions for other topics and sessions that can be included in the future,” she added.
